Inline Systems

What is an inline system for water? An inline water filter works by becoming part of a particular water supply. In the home it is usually added to the water supply that serves the main cold water tap in the kitchen. An inline water filter is attached directly to the water pipe running underneath the sink.

The most popular systems include activated carbon, reverse osmosis, mixed media and UV filters. However, most systems use a combination of these methods for optimal filtration.

Some water filters connect to your water line under the sink or mount on your faucet to filter out sediment, lead and other contaminants. The filters should be changed periodically, usually after 100 gallons, or about four months. Some have built0in indicators that let you know when it’s time to change. Failing to change your fridge’s water filter can cause scaling and deposit buildup in the water and ice machine, which can seriously damage your fridge. This buildup tends to slow down the system causing low flow, and negatively affects the flavor of your water
