Water Storage Tanks

Water storage tanks serve two major purposes. One is to provide storage volume and the other is to provide pressure to the distribution system. A particular tank can serve one or both purposes depending on its location within the system and its type of configuration.

A Hydro-pneumatic tank is typically a horizontal pressurized water storage tank. Pressurizing this reservoir of water creates a surge free delivery of stored water into the distribution system.

Any water storage tank requires annual maintenance. If the storage tank isn’t serviced annually, not only is the pressure tank at risk but your water pump is at risk as well.
