Description
Residential Quest Micro-Blaster™ Air Disinfection Ozone System for Virus Disinfectant and Odor Eliminator
To prevent the spreading of the new coronavirus (Novel COVID-19) it is vital to disinfect public spaces including offices, bars, restaurants, warehouses, residential homes and apartments, universities and more.
PLEASE READ EPA OZONE GUIDELINES – CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFORMATION
To guarantee safety during the use of an Ozone Generator, activate the system when the space is unoccupied. The Crystal Quest Ozonator is equipped with an easy-to-use timer to assist with safety and will shut the system down prior to reentry. Please allow at least one hour for the ozone to dissipate before the space is reoccupied.
For Ozone safety, consider what needs to be treated with ozone. Is your goal to sanitize the air you breath, eliminate odors, remove the smell of tobacco, or disinfect contaminated areas?
0.2% of ozone is a significant level; this is why ozone concentration is measured in Parts Per Million (PPM). It only takes 3-4 PPM to kill off all germs, including Bacteria, and Viruses. When inhaled, ozone can damage the lungs. OZONE GENERATORS SHOULD BE USED AT A MAXIMUM OF 8 HOURS PER DAY.
Important: Normal rates of respiration for resting adults is between 12 to 16 breaths a minute. That’s 12 to 16 times a minute that we inhale not just the good but also the bad of the air around us including viruses, bacteria,– toxins, chemical, dust and pollutants.
Eliminate Airborne microorganisms.
Airborne particles are a major cause of respiratory ailments of humans, causing allergies, asthma, and pathogenic infections of the respiratory tract. Airborne fungal spores are also important agents of plant disease, and the means for dissemination of many common saprotrophic (saprophytic) fungi.
Crystal Quest Ozone Systems and COVID-19
At this time, no one can say for certain that ozone is effective in killing the novel coronavirus COVID-19, as it is simply too early, and no peer reviewed studies have yet been conducted to support or confirm this. However, we know that ozone destroys other viruses by diffusing the gas through the protein coat of the cell into the nucleic acid core and damaging the RNA of the virus. While healthy cells have complex enzymes systems for protection, viruses have no such protections against oxidative stress which makes them vulnerable to ozone. We can also look to similar case studies and see that there have been near 20 scientific studies showing ozone gas is able to destroy the SARS coronavirus which is almost identical in structure to the new COVID 19 coronavirus. Here at Crystal Quest, we are using these ozone devices throughout our facilities in addition to following other recommended public health practices such as social distancing and increased attention to hygiene.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) requires ozone output of indoor medical devices to be no more than 0.05 ppm (parts per million).
The National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) recommends an upper limit of 0.10 ppm, not to be exceeded at any time.
EPA’s National Ambient Air Quality Standard for ozone is a maximum 8-hour average outdoor concentration of 0.08 ppm.
If an ozone air purifier is going to be running while people are present, the EPA recommends the proper settings should be selected so that the ozone level is less than 0.08 ppm.
For best results the ozone generator should be mounted as high in the room as practical. Ozone is heavier than air and it will eventually fall to the floor.
Air circulation is an important factor in how effective ozone works. For large areas, an oscillating fan should be placed next to the generator to help circulate the ozone throughout the room.
