Salt Free (Anti Scale) Systems is new technology that transforms the calcium (hardness) of the water into mechanically stable and heat resistant calcite crystals which no longer cause lime deposits. The calcium is simply rinsed away. During the ion exchange process, a polymer resin attracts hard water minerals and replaces them with sodium ions. it is this removal of magnesium and calcium that defines “water softening”. In reality salt-free water softeners DO NOT actually soften water at all – they “condition” it.

Calcium creates scale in pipes, on appliances, and other plumbing surfaces, which leads to higher heating and energy costs and expensive repairs to appliances. Scale can also be a source of bacteria grown which can be a health concern in drinking water
